چکیده

Centralized system for fetal home telemonitoring with wireless data transmission based on GSM service and internet is presented in this paper. Cardiotocographic signals are provided by mobile instrumentation which consists of bioelectrical signal recorder and Tablet PC. It enables to support a classical interpretation of cardiotocographic trace by information on fetal electrocardiogram morphology. The system enables analysis, dynamic presentation and archiving of acquired signals and medical data. Novelty of proposed approach relies on modification of the procedures to process the abdominal signals in mobile instrumentation and adaptive controlling of the monitoring session in surveillance center. These adaptations are performed automatically through advanced algorithms based on continuous analyzing of the quality and quantitative parameters of the acquired signals. In that way the amount and content of data transmitted through remote channels to surveillance center can be controlled to ensure the most reliable assessment of fetal well-being. Key-Words: home monitoring, telemedicine, high-risk pregnancy, fetal surveillance, FECG, signal processing

Improvement of Fetal Electrocardiogram Extraction by Application of Fuzzy Adaptive Resonance Theory to Adaptive Neural Fuzzy System

non-invasive fetal electrocardiogram (FECG) signal extraction from signals recorded at abdominal area of mother is a challenging problem for the biomedical and signal processing communities. In this paper, we improve the FECG extraction approaches which consist to find the relation-ships between the cardiac potentials generated at the heart level of mother and the potentials recorded on the abd...

A Novel Method for Automated Estimation of Effective Parameters of Complex Auditory Brainstem Response: Adaptive Processing based on Correntropy Concept

Objectives: Automated Auditory Brainstem Responses (ABR) peak detection is a novel technique to facilitate the measurement of neural synchrony along the auditory pathway through the brainstem. Analyzing the location of the peaks in these signals and the time interval between them may be utilized either for analyzing the hearing process or detecting peripheral and central lesions in the human he...

Low Energy Wireless Body-Area Networks for Fetal ECG Telemonitoring via the Framework of Block Sparse Bayesian Learning

Fetal ECG (FECG) telemonitoring is an important branch in telemedicine. The design of a telemonitoring system via a low-power wireless body-area network for ambulatory use is highly desirable. As an emerging technique, compressed sensing (CS) shows great promise in compressing data with low power consumption. However, due to some specific characteristics of FECG recordings such as non-sparsity ...

Self-Adaptive Morphological Filter for Noise Reduction of Partial Discharge Signals

Partial Discharge assessment in the insulation of high voltage equipment is one of the most popular approaches for prevention of the insulation breakdown. In the procedure of thisassessment, noise reduction of partial discharge signals to get the original PD signal for accurate evaluation is inevitable. This denoising process shall be carried out such a way that the main features of the p...

State - Space Averaging for Maternal Ecg Suppression

In this paper a new method of maternal electrocardiogram suppression for fetal component extraction from one-channel maternal abdominal bioelectric signals is proposed. The method performs maternal ECG estimation by application of state-space averaging. The estimated signal is subtracted from the original one and this way suppressed. The method parameters allow us to balance between the precisi...
